The Writing Center provides ACT and SAT test preparation at our home office in Shreveport, Louisiana. Helping students achieve personally optimum scores on college admission tests is our mission.
Our specific goal is to provide relevant information, academic reinforcement, training and techniques to enable our clients to perform at their upper-level potentialities on the essay writing and English/grammar sections of the ACT and SAT. Because each test is different, The Writing Center focuses attention on specific competencies within each respective test.
The Writing Center is directed by William J. Long who holds the Doctor of Education degree from Louisiana State University (1976), and the certificate of completion from the Graduate School of Education’s Institute for the Management of Lifelong Education at Harvard University (1989). An English and writing professor for the past fifteen years, Dr. Long is the author of Job’s Journey and New World.
